I am delighted and honored to share that I have been conferred the NESA Eminent Scientist Award – 2025 by the National Environmental Science Academy (NESA), New Delhi, in recognition of my contributions to botanical research, biodiversity conservation, and orchid research. This award inspires me to continue my research on the biodiversity of orchids of the Eastern Ghats, with a focus on molecular characterization, phytochemical studies, and conservation. Dr. Ramudu Jujjuvarapu has been conferred the prestigious INSA Visiting Scientist Award 2025 by the Indian National Science Academy, New Delhi. This recognition is awarded to outstanding scientists for contributions to frontier areas of research. Dr. Ramudu will utilise this fellowship to advance his orchid biodiversity research at a premier national institution.

A major research project titled "Biodiversity of Orchids from the Eastern Ghats of India with Reference to Molecular and Phytochemical Characterization" has been sanctioned under DST-ANRF, Government of India with a grant of ₹31 Lakhs. This project will significantly advance our understanding of endemic orchid species in the Eastern Ghats.

Dr. Ramudu and collaborators have been granted a national patent for an innovative Research

A new research article on orchid phylogenetics co-authored by Dr. Ramudu has been accepted and published in a Springer international journal. The paper contributes new molecular data on Eastern Ghats orchid taxonomy and evolutionary relationships.
