The "Best Individual Biodiversity Conservator Award - 2026" by the Andhra Pradesh State Biodiversity Board was actually awarded to J. Ramudu, a Botany lecturer at Dr. Lakkireddy Hanimireddy Government Degree College, Mylavaram.He was recognized for his outstanding grassroots contributions to biodiversity awareness, ecological seminars, and his research on plant species in the Eastern Ghats. The award was presented by A.P. State Biodiversity Board Chairman N. Vijay Kumar during the International Day for Biological Diversity celebrations on May 22, 2026, at Acharya Nagarjuna University.
